3. Texture check

The texture of genuine khoya is soft, whereas adulterated khoya can be hard or sticky. By rubbing it between the fingers, pure khoya will break apart, whereas adulterated khoya will feel sticky.

4. Find out by dissolving it in water

Iodine test can be done to detect adulteration of starch in khoa. Add a few drops of iodine on the sample of khoya. If khoya turns blue, it means there is adulteration of starch in it.
